Hi Guys! I've never really shared an interior design client project with you before. But I thought I would give you a little glimpse inside this stunning project I worked on recently with a sweet Instagram friend of mine. Let me tell you, when a client books me and our styles are pretty much spot on, I know it's going to be a good one. And this one right here is a good one- Simple farmhouse style at it's best!
You may or may not know Chelsea of The Simple Abode, but if you don't you need to head over to her Instagram because she is the sweetest. And did I mention she has an AMAZING etsy.com shop? Check it out ---> HERE. Chelsea's style doesn't stray far from her name "The Simple Abode." She wanted a simple farmhouse style that really pulled her home together. Not living too far from me here in North Carolina I was able to be very hands on with this project. One of my funnest install days yet!
I designed Chelsea's living room, master bedroom, and master bathroom. And each room underwent major transformation. Today I'm sharing part one of the project: the living room- my favorite transformation of the entire project. I will be sharing the rest over the next week.
The Living Room...Being opening to the dining room and kitchen the client felt as though the living room was just an extension of that space- not really standing on its own. After designing the space and making a few simple changes I would say it definitely stands on it own now. What do you think?!
The biggest change in the living room was adding the faux shiplap fireplace. AND HOLY MOLY what a transformation it made. Extending the shiplap all the way up to the ceiling really added height and provided a grounding centerpiece to the room. We went off the plans from my faux fireplace in my master bedroom- you can find them--> HERE.
Below is the style board and design plans for this living room. Each client of Plum Pretty's gets their very own "Design Portal" on my website. Here they can access their style boards, layouts, product list, invoicing, schedule, checklist, and any information regarding their project. Maybe I should name it the PPP- Plum Pretty Portal.
I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into one of my design projects. Check back next week for part 2- you're not gonna want to miss the bedroom! Chelsea's dad built the mother of all shiplap beds using some plans I designed. As always thank you so much for stopping by today and reading my blog. If you have any questions about anything just let me know! Feel free to leave me a little comment letting me know what you like most about this transformation. I love hearing from you guys!
