Valentines Day is one of those holidays that gets overlooked in my home as far as decor goes. Let's face it red, pink, and pink do not match my very neutral palette.
So this year I am adding little touches of Valentines decor but in a way that blends nicely with my existing decor. Over the next two weeks I will be sharing some of these subtle Valentines decor projects.
My first project involves old books (which everyone knows I LOVE) and confetti- thats right! Who doesn't love confetti!?
Here's how to make your very own Vintage Book Paper Heart Confetti
Â
Materials:
- Heart craft paper punch (varying sizes if your heart desires. I used two sizes medium and x-small)- Hobby Lobby has them on sale this week 40% off
- Old vintage/antique book (Pick these up and any antique store)
Direction:
- Remove some of the pages out of the book.
- Use your paper punch and begin the confetti making process moving around the outer edge of the page and working your way in.
These make the perfect little accents to add Valentines flair without all the pink/red. They also make great presents. Package up a bushel of confetti into a cute little heart paper box (also available at Hobby Lobby) and mail them to someone you love this Valentines day.
With love,
