This past weekend was full of antiques, llamas, wine, lots of new and old friends and the very first Gray Door Market Pop-up show.
Almost a year ago I was contacted by two sweet gals that had just joined forces and started a business together called The Gray Door Market. Haley and Katie were these two ladies and they had a vision of an antique show like NC had never had before. When they asked me to be a vendor not only was I honored, I was totally on board with their mission and vision. I too felt like NC needed as show like The Gray Door Market.
Well guess what?! This vision of the best antique and vintage show in NC was more than executed. I was completely blown away by this show. This show brought the crowds from all over the southeast. Busy was not even the word for it! The show succeeded above everyones expectations. Seriously! The food trucks even ran out of food.
The show took place at a sweet little vineyard in East Bend, NC called Divine Llama Vineyard. This venue had it all! Rolling vine covered hills and pastures where sweet llamas played made for the perfect backdrop for this show. I mean there were antiques, wine, and llamas- that is my love language! For those who don't already know its my dream to own an alpaca or llama farm one day, so I was kind of excited about the llamas.
This show was the closest I have had to my home town so lots of family and friends made their way out to see me. This was the first show my grandmother, who I named my business after, was able to attend. Seeing her at one of my shows was the highlight of my day! My little niece also came and "helped" me out with my booth. Telling everyone my plates were $600 instead of $6.00 and that my french soap smelled funny- future Plum Pretty employee in the making.
Most of all I am blown away at all the positive feedback I received at this show. Each and every compliment and kind word means so much to me. I will never grow tired of hearing "I follow you on Instagram" or "I just love reading your blog," and I love meeting the people I interact with on social media in person. I pour my heart and soul into what I do and it means so much to me when my vision is captured in the eyes of others. I left this show with a full heart!
Thank you to each and every person who commented on my Instagram posts and to those who came out and visited the show! It means the world to me and the other vendors. Thank you so much for making this show one of the best antique and vintage shows in NC!
This was an amazing show for Plum Pretty and a great start to my fall show season!
