Well this is week 5 of the weekly smoothie recipe challenge. Bet you didn't even know this was a challenge. I challenged myself when I started a little over a month ago to keep creating smoothie recipes and sharing a new one every single week. All in hopes that someone somewhere out there might challenge themselves to a healthier diet and try some smoothies. Let’s see how long I can keep this going. And if you try one of my smoothie recipes please tag me in a photo, share in your instagram stories, or comment here letting me know.
Things are a bit crazy around our house right now. With design clients, taking on new partnerships with brands, and “dog mom life” I have my hands pretty full. Lots of early mornings and late nights around here lately. I get up early to take care of the pups- potty time, feeding, and wrestling things out of Charlotte’s mouth all so I can start working at a decent time. Right now that’s around 8 or 9ish. That’s one of the reasons I LOVE smoothies so much. I can throw everything in the my go cup, blend, and eat (or should I say drink) on the go. Well except on mornings where I take pretty pictures for these post. What normally takes me 3 mins takes about 30 mins. Because you have to stage for pretty pictures. Right!?
Well today is one of those REALLY busy days so I’m going to keep the healthy talk to a minimum and just give you the main points then the recipe. SO todays smoothie is a healthy beet based recipe that I like to call my cleanse smoothie. It is packed with antioxidants, vitamins, nutrients, and veggies. And it’s so bright and pretty! But I will warn you beforehand, this is not one of my most yummy smoothies. So if this is your first time trying a smoothie maybe try one of my yummier recipes- Pumpkin Spice or Citrus Peach. Both these recipes are sweeter and fruitier.
But if your not a stranger to more veggie based smoothies and you feel your body needs a cleanse this is a recipe for you! Go google the health benefits of beets. They have a seriously impressive nutritional profile. Who knew? Even some anti-cancer properties. Knowing all the great things you are putting into your body helps with the taste. But it’s honestly not bad at all. Just a little “rootie” if you remember that conversation from another recipe.
So without further ado here is my beet cleanse smoothie recipe that I have been working on and perfecting the past few weeks.

Remember my recipe card is printable and Pin-able. My favorite thing to do is pin a recipe card to a board on my Pinterest. I have a smoothie board if you want to follow along- CLICK HERE. Then when I’m making my grocery list or I’m in the grocery store I can pull it up and see all the ingredient right there on Pinterest. No need trying to remember who’s blog the recipe was on or scrolling down an entire post when I just need the ingredients. Or you can print the recipes each week and start your very own smoothie recipe book in a three ring binder. Preaching to the choir here. Still haven’t started my smoothie recipe binder. When I find an extra hour I will sit down and create one and share mine with you.
Smoothie cheers my friend!! I hope you try out this healthy beet and veggie cleanse smoothie. If you have any requests for ingredients or recipes feel free to leave them in the comment section below or email me. Check back next week for a new smoothie recipe. Maybe another fall recipe?
With love,
